U-Can_Do-It!-Music

Can music have a message and still move the crowd? It's an age-old question in rap. While some have their doubts, D.C. rapper Haziq Ali knows it's possible. Already, along with his business partner-in-rhyme Tabi Bonney, this innovative wordsmith is forging a new rap renaissance built on thoughtful lyrics that dont abandon hot beats and party anthems, the bedrock of successful contemporary rap music. "I'm really tryin' to be that perfect mixture between the streets and the spirit, somebody called what I make 'U-Can-Do-It! Music', and I loved that... with so much going on in the world, people deserve to be inspired", Haziq says.

Ali, who currently splits his time between D.C., and Atlanta, wants to push rap's boundaries in other ways as well. While recognizing that sampling has been an important staple of rap, and has played a key role in its success, Ali wants to create more opportunities for live musicians in the genre. This live sound, popular in the south, is a key element to his emerging sound. He says, "I want to combine down south musical sensibilities with up north-East Coast lyricism and word play."

If there is one rap tradition Ali has followed wholeheartedly without hesitation, it's performing live. From New York City to North Carolina to Atlanta, Ali has honed the skills of the live show, which includes tours like Rock The Bells with 50 Cent, Killer Mike, Kanye West, Dead Prez, and others. Haziq's uncomparable delivery has also captured the ear of music lovers worldwide through heavy circulation on the hottest mixtapes by DJ Rondevu, DJ Scream and Big Mike among other heavyweight notables.

Be sure to log onto http://haziqali.wordpress.com/ to watch as Ali showcases his ability to move the crowd.

"Out of Many One People"

“In the minds of many, we want to be, not only as artistes but as role models” those were the words uttered from the mouth of Aldaine “Dane” McCalla. We have a dream one that envisions us being a major influence not only to the Music Industry but also to the world as a whole, for as the Jamaican motto says “Out of many one people”, we, you, the entire world are one. The realization of our talent all happened at Mannings School, but before this we all in our own separate worlds use to make music. Let’s introduce the group; Aldaine “Dane” McCalla born October 15, 1989 started his journey in music from the tender age of 9 and has been writing and making music since. Everton “TruSon” Hylton born November 6, 1989 started his journey in music at the age of 15. Andre “Dre” Daley born March 15, 1989 stepped into the world of music at the age of 10. Each with their own unique style of rapping all came together in February 2006. What started as a normal classroom past time evolved into a passion for creating music, when we released our first song, Club hits, which rocked the ears of the school population. From then on we realized something, we realized that we had what it took to actually record and make music. We honestly did it for fun, not for the publicity or for everyone to know that we do it, but just to make music that people can 'bob their heads' to and thus we created the group WeScydE.

After making a couple of tracks, the group separated after graduation, being that everyone had to move on to their separate lives. Nevertheless in October 2009 Dane released a track he had done on Facebook entitled “Dane”, it was the buzz on Facebook for quite a while. Then the inevitable happened, the group was recreated, but this time we had a mission. It was no longer simple idle play, but this time we wanted the world to know what we had to offer, and to make a difference. TruSon and Dane then met up and recorded Facebook’s next hit, “Down Chick” which certainly captured the ears of so many listeners. We then created the Facebook Group called “WesCyde RecordZ” which even now is still growing. A couple tracks later we released a next hit entitled “Ima Star”, which also captivated the minds of our listeners. We may be unsigned artistes but we know we have what it takes, and as our motto says “music is law” we intend to use that power with great responsibility. The story has just begun, and as it unfolds we hope for two things, the freedom to express ourselves and the world to listen to us express ourselves. Jay Z said he wants to be “forever young” but we want to be “forever WesCyde”

Artist of the Month-Jaylon

The Younger Years:

Jeremey Dewayne London aka Jaylon was born in Henderson East Texas in 1986 and moved to the "DFW" in 1988 to an area named Arlington in the urban community known as Agg-town. An had a love for music ever since he was able to talk. An artist name 2pac inspired him to pick up a pen and he took on his style as well as others as he experienced and studied music. Such as Eminem, Joe Budden, Chamillionaire, T.I., and Jadakiss.

Never really caring about school while others were doing assignments Jaylon was skipping school and when he was in class he wrote music. His love for music was so passionate his mother gave him ultimatum leave music alone an get serious with school or get out of my house. With that Jeremey got out got his G.E.D. and ran the streets. Jaylon has now over 7000 songs in his catalogue doesn’t plan on using half of them. “I cant use everything I write down I come up with great lyrics all the time but I only want to use great songs”.

The Music:

Jaylon has just released his first mixtape titled Space Anthem mostly produced by Jack Frost an upcoming DJ out of Agg-town Tx and childhood friend. Space Anthem mixtape is for a certain group of people freak’s of nature people who believe there so different from everyone else there not on this planet. People on the mixtape are his group K.A.P. (Kings Amongst Peasants) which include himself, Jay-Free, and Tru Story. An artist Cool Hand Curt, unlike a lot of other artist 80 percent of Jaylon’s project is him by himself showing confidence on the ability own songs himself. Also promoting his single “Weekend Alcoholic” he is hoping to have much success in 2010.

Other project’s coming soon include Face The Music Vol. 1 through 4 and Album Not Down 2 Earth staying busy in the studio doing show’s pushing JaylonTV on youtube and tryna spread through the mass in the U.S. Jaylon has his work cut out. Just to name a few place’s Jaylon has performed at Crystals, Mambo CafĂ©, Half Times, Bob Center’s Rec., and B-day parties for artis around the DFW area.

In his words:

“ My artist influences are. 2pac, Eminem, Joe Budden, T.I., Chamillionaire, Jadakiss, Lil Wayne, Cassidy, Fabolous, and Magnificent…My current hustle is music along with my printing company. I like to smoke and drink on the weekends, and you can catch me at the ranch, hard bodies, onyx, or half-time on the weekend. (How do you feel about the game?) I believe the south has been running it for awhile. I respect all aspect’s of Hip-Hop and understand it means something different to everyone. I believe in the future everything will be digital and besides show’s, concerts, and brands artist sale all money from music will be made through the internet. An everyone needs to find out how they can use that to there advantage.”
