"Out of Many One People"

“In the minds of many, we want to be, not only as artistes but as role models” those were the words uttered from the mouth of Aldaine “Dane” McCalla. We have a dream one that envisions us being a major influence not only to the Music Industry but also to the world as a whole, for as the Jamaican motto says “Out of many one people”, we, you, the entire world are one. The realization of our talent all happened at Mannings School, but before this we all in our own separate worlds use to make music. Let’s introduce the group; Aldaine “Dane” McCalla born October 15, 1989 started his journey in music from the tender age of 9 and has been writing and making music since. Everton “TruSon” Hylton born November 6, 1989 started his journey in music at the age of 15. Andre “Dre” Daley born March 15, 1989 stepped into the world of music at the age of 10. Each with their own unique style of rapping all came together in February 2006. What started as a normal classroom past time evolved into a passion for creating music, when we released our first song, Club hits, which rocked the ears of the school population. From then on we realized something, we realized that we had what it took to actually record and make music. We honestly did it for fun, not for the publicity or for everyone to know that we do it, but just to make music that people can 'bob their heads' to and thus we created the group WeScydE.

After making a couple of tracks, the group separated after graduation, being that everyone had to move on to their separate lives. Nevertheless in October 2009 Dane released a track he had done on Facebook entitled “Dane”, it was the buzz on Facebook for quite a while. Then the inevitable happened, the group was recreated, but this time we had a mission. It was no longer simple idle play, but this time we wanted the world to know what we had to offer, and to make a difference. TruSon and Dane then met up and recorded Facebook’s next hit, “Down Chick” which certainly captured the ears of so many listeners. We then created the Facebook Group called “WesCyde RecordZ” which even now is still growing. A couple tracks later we released a next hit entitled “Ima Star”, which also captivated the minds of our listeners. We may be unsigned artistes but we know we have what it takes, and as our motto says “music is law” we intend to use that power with great responsibility. The story has just begun, and as it unfolds we hope for two things, the freedom to express ourselves and the world to listen to us express ourselves. Jay Z said he wants to be “forever young” but we want to be “forever WesCyde”
